Dear Soulmates Exchange 2023 Creator,
Thank you so much for being part of this exchange! I’m looking forward to seeing what you create. Hopefully some of this will spark your creativity and you will have fun in the writing. Give me all the fantasy, supernatural, dark, urban magic stuff you’ve ever wanted to write! Or a Mafia AU because that’s always fun.
I’m not here for explicit sex, but for the character connections and relationships.
You don’t have to include this, but if it is up your alley, I really like multiple levels of relationships. While I don’t like breakup/cheating fics, I enjoy seeing various levels of relationships. So . . . characters A & B are in a strong romantic relationship, but when character B has a particularly tough day, they go cuddle with character C or characters A, B, & C are a closed triad, but character A has a strong platonic relationship with character D. Outsiders are sure they’re dating or having sex, but they’re not – and the other members in the romantic relationship don’t have any jealousy. (And yes, they may even share a bed, but it’s purely for sleep, cuddling, comfort – not sex.) I enjoy romance, but I also truly enjoy explorations of all levels of love – romantic, platonic, familial, etc.
FANDOM SPECIFICS:
Hawkeye – Clint Barton is my favorite Avenger, especially when he’s not a disaster. I’m not fond of disaster Clint. Clint & Kate are my newest obsessions with the MCU, and I love all iterations of them. Feel free to explore to your heart’s content. I’d love any kind of bond, worldbuilding, even go into the A’'s if you want.
Torchwood – Gwen Cooper is my favorite character. Absolutely no Gwen bashing or badmouthing please. I love her compassion and her devotion. In particular, I love the interactions between her and Jack. Give them a happy ending please – romantic or platonic, either way. Ianto is my next favorite, and people should respect the detail man.
Ancient Greek Religion & Lore – Hades/Persephone is my all-time favorite, but I enjoy any of the characters I chose. I’d love to see something deep and full of comfort for whomever you pick. Greek myths are full of tragedy, but in this case, I’d love to see something happy, even if you go with some of my darker likes.
The Hobbit – Fix-it’s are life in this fandom, but so are AU’s that change everything because of one or two differences. Thorin having a Hobbit soulmate always makes me grin. I also enjoy the idea of Belladonna connected with either Frerin or Dwalin.
MCU – Darcy Lewis is the character that brought me into the MCU, and I love seeing her being hyper-competent as she helps people manage their jobs, lives, and whatever else. I particularly like seeing her with the tough guys.
Crossover – Again with Darcy, but it just makes me giggle to think of Bruce Wayne/Batman dealing with her.
On the additional tags, I picked things that sounded like fun or that might be interesting with the characters in question. Pick and choose – mix and match – I’m looking forward to all of it.
