Dear Trick or Treat Creator(s),

Extra likes – Strong alpha men that are wrapped around the fingers of the women they love. Protective men and women with sass. Dark, edgy characters who use that to protect the innocent and light. And I’m into women who are kickass – especially if it’s NOT in the physical sense. Give me the geniuses, the wise women, the counselors, or the homemakers who know it is the heart of the house that pulls the strings.

I have a MAJOR competence kink.

Give me all the fantasy, supernatural, dark, urban magic stuff you’ve ever wanted to write! Or a Mafia AU because that’s always fun.

I’ll admit, I’m not into full-on explicit sex. I don’t need – or in most cases, want – to know the play-by-play. What I want is emotional exploration and connection, bonding and growth. If you want to put an E rated scene in there, go for it, but please make the majority of the fic about the characters and their emotional/psychological interactions. (Also, random note, but if you go the A/B/O route, I prefer male alphas and female omegas. Dom/sub – I also prefer male Dom and female sub, with the Dom being sweet/indulgent/spoiling of his sub.)

You don’t have to include this, but if it is up your alley, I really like multiple levels of relationships. While I don’t like breakup/cheating fics, I enjoy seeing various levels of relationships. So . . . characters A & B are in a strong romantic relationship, but when character B has a particularly tough day, they go cuddle with character C or characters A, B, & C are a closed triad, but character A has a strong platonic relationship with character D. Outsiders are sure they’re dating or having sex, but they’re not – and the other characters don’t have any jealousy. (And yes, they may even share a bed, but it’s purely for sleep, cuddling, comfort – not sex.) I enjoy romance, but I also truly enjoy explorations of all levels of love – romantic, platonic, familial, etc.

Hawkeye – this is my current obsession. Clint is my all-time favorite Marvel character, and Kate’s a new favorite. I prefer Clint being the high level, efficient, damn good agent and not a disaster. Clint’s got this ‘do the job, collect the paycheck, go home’ vibe, but he also gives off an overprotective aura as well, and I’d like to see that play into your story. It works really well with Kate’s inexperienced, innocent ‘newbie’ vibe. Plus, I just love the potential for snark between Clint’s sarcasm and Kate’s sass. If it works for you, I’d love for you to include Clint’s hearing loss. Whichever way you go with Laura, include her or don’t, please do not bash her. I’m a sucker for an overprotective older guy. Or a younger woman who has more emotional insight than people expect for someone her age. Kate wants to be a hero, and she’s got the tendency to get herself into situations. Clint is an agent who’s been around the block – he’s got the protective instincts, as well as the experience to account for PTSD.

Narnia – Aslan & Edmund Pevensie – After the four siblings are crowned, did Aslan and Edmund talk? As the boy king became a man, did he have a chance to communicate with Aslan again? To seek wisdom or advice? What kind of relationship did they build, especially with Edmund knowing Aslan had allowed himself to die for his sake? Friends of Narnia – Include Susan or don’t, wherever your muse takes you, but how do they handle the real world given everything that happened in Narnia? What kind of lives do they live? What do you think? Edmund & Peter Pevensie – I’d like to see Edmund and Peter as kings, working together to save and then build up Narnia after defeating the White Witch. How do they work with the various cultures and peoples of Narnia to come up with plans in both war and peace?

The Lord of the Rings – Boromir – I’m not looking for a romance for him, but if you want one, please use an original female character as I love the canon ships in this universe. I just want to see more about this man, and I came to understand him so much better after seeing Sean Bean bring him to life. I’d love to see him protecting his brother before the whole quest, or maybe being a leader of men. If you go the fix-it route, how does he fit into Gondor after the War? Granted, there is still the mopping up to be done, but I can’t see him fitting into the Steward’s place – he’s always been a man of war. And him with the Hobbits – being that protective presence . . . Or maybe he’s unable to move on until the war is won because he’s got unfinished business.

Marvel Cinematic Universe – Bucky/Darcy, Clint/Natasha, Bucky/Wanda, Bucky/Natasha, Clint, Bucky, Natasha – Again, Clint is my absolute favorite Avenger, and Darcy is the character that got me into the MCU to begin with. If you want to mix and match, I love these two in pretty much any combination – romantic, platonic . . . and I love them with Bucky & Natasha. Now, when it comes to Wanda, I really see her and Clint in a familial relationship. They had such a father-daughter vibe to me. For Darcy, I love her as the sassy sidekick and scientist herder. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled she became a full-fledged scientist (Dr. Lewis) instead of an agent, but I love seeing her being the ‘everywoman’. For Bucky, I see him being very much the man recovering from trauma and dealing with another side of his personality. Solider, to me, is a part of his psyche who has basically been given a life of its own and now Bucky has to figure out how to work with and/or control it. It makes him more of a gray type character. (I also headcanon Solider as aro, even though Bucky is not.)

Seriously, I hope you have fun!

Thanks!
Caiti
