Thank you so much for being part of this exchange! I’m looking forward to seeing what you create. Hopefully some of these sparks you and you have fun in the writing. Mix and match any of the likes you want, and my only hard lines are the DNWs.

Give me the geniuses, the wise women, the counselors, or the homemakers who know it is the heart of the house that pulls the strings.
I have a MAJOR competence kink.
Give me all the fantasy, supernatural, dark, urban magic stuff you’ve ever wanted to write! Or a Mafia AU because that’s always fun.
I’ll admit, I’m not into full-on explicit sex. I don’t need – or in most cases, want – to know the play-by-play. What I want is emotional exploration and connection, bonding and growth. If you want to put an E rated scene in there, go for it, but please make the majority of the fic about the characters and their emotional/psychological interactions. (Also, random note, but if you go the A/B/O route, I prefer male alphas and female omegas. Dom/sub – I also prefer male Dom and female sub, with the Dom being sweet/indulgent/spoiling of his sub.)
You don’t have to include this, but if it is up your alley, I really like multiple levels of relationships. While I don’t like breakup/cheating fics, I enjoy seeing various levels of relationships. So . . . characters A & B are in a strong romantic relationship, but when character B has a particularly tough day, they go cuddle with character C or characters A, B, & C are a closed triad, but character A has a strong platonic relationship with character D. Outsiders are sure they’re dating or having sex, but they’re not – and the other characters don’t have any jealousy. (And yes, they may even share a bed, but it’s purely for sleep, cuddling, comfort – not sex.) I enjoy romance, but I also truly enjoy explorations of all levels of love – romantic, platonic, familial, etc.
BIG NOTE: When it comes to romances, please stick with either my choices or canon, but beyond that, feel free to mix and match between all of the requests. I love Middle Earth, so if you want to have Aulë/Yavanna guiding Dwalin/Belladonna or one of the Valar advising the Fellowship, go for it!
Requests:
The Hobbit (movies) – I enjoy the potential for alternate universes of the fandom, especially canon divergence. Thorin and Bilbo make fun and interesting platonic besties. It would also be fun to see Thorin falling for a female Hobbit and Bilbo having to explain cultural differences. But I’m also good with a fix-it, no romance at all as they try and get Erebor back on its feet and thriving. Or maybe what would happen if they figured out the Ring early? I like all of the Company – and prefer they not be romantically involved with each other. We need more strong male platonic fics. If you want any of them in a background relationship, that’s cool – just not with each other.
The Lord of the Rings (books) – I’m always up for seeing more of Éomer/Lothíriel, but I’d love some deep diving into culture and cultural differences between all the various groups. As far as time frame, dig into any time – before the Fellowship, during the War, or in the rebuilding and clean up.
The Silmarillion – Again, culture and history – give me all the world building. Aulë/Yavanna are my favorites, but I’d also like to see a blend and a mix of all of these folks. Magic would also be interesting – the use of it, the rules, the sacrifice it requires. Maybe show something fluffy, soft, and domestic to offset all of the tragedy. Fix something? Power in music and art and creativity would be awesome too.
Crossover – Okay, I picked a bunch of these that I thought would be fun or interesting. Go crazy! Or be very deep in how these characters come together and interact. I mean . . . Fëanor & Lobelia Sackville-Baggins? That’s one heck of an interesting mix!
Born of Hope – I haven’t actually seen this, but I’d love to see anything with Aragorn’s parents.
The Lord of the Rings (movies) – For this, I picked a lot of Éowyn & Éomer and their uncle and cousin. I’d love to see the exploration of Rohan. Also picked Lothlorien Elves – and it would be interesting to see the interactions between the two cultures. Other than that, I’m always up for the Fellowship and strong male platonic bonds.
The Hobbit (book) – For this one, I stuck with Dwarves and Hobbits, and I’d really love to see Belladonna Took! I’ve just recently gotten into her paired with Dwarves, so I was thrilled to see a Belladonna/Dwalin tag. I love the idea of these two cultures twining together, so feel free to dig into the cultures and the cultural differences.
