Dear Public Spice Exchange Creator,
Thank you so much for being part of this exchange! I’m looking forward to seeing what you create. Hopefully some of these sparks you and you have fun in the writing. Mix and match any of the likes you want, and my only hard lines are the DNWs. Exchange specifics are at the bottom of the letter.

Extra likes – Strong alpha men that are wrapped around the fingers of the women they love. Protective men and women with sass. Soul bonds of all kinds are welcome. Dark, edgy characters who use that to protect the innocent and light. And I’m into women who are kickass – especially if it’s NOT in the physical sense. Give me the geniuses, the wise women, the counselors, or the homemakers who know it is the heart of the house that pulls the strings. I have a MAJOR competence kink.
Given the nature of the exchange, clearly sex will be part of the gig. Obviously. 😊 But I’m mostly into the emotional exploration and connection, bonding and growth rather than the play-by-play. So, feel free to spend most of your time there? 😉 (Also, random note, but if you go the A/B/O route, I prefer male alphas and female omegas. If you go poly, it would be interesting to see how the Beta helps balance the other two. Dom/sub – I also prefer male Dom and female sub. If you go poly, then the second male might be a sub, or maybe you’ve got some other notion to explore . . .)
Fandoms:
(For all of the Marvel stuff, I’m all for the 2012 vibe – i.e. no Civil War, no Infinity War, no Endgame.)
Hawkeye – Clint Barton/Kate Bishop – Clint is my all-time favorite Marvel character, and Kate’s a new favorite. I prefer Clint being the high level, efficient, damn good agent and not a disaster. Clint’s got this ‘do the job, collect the paycheck, go home’ vibe, but he also gives off an overprotective aura as well, and I’d like to see that play into your story. It works really well with Kate’s inexperienced, innocent ‘newbie’ vibe. Plus, I just love the potential for snark.
Prompts chosen – For this pair, I really wanted to lean towards the idea of the older, protective Clint with the younger Kate. She’s the rookie, so ends up in situations based on her inexperience and passionate drive that doesn’t always take caution and experience into account. A couple I picked just because they’d be interesting with the dichotomy of the older/younger age mix.
Marvel Cinematic Universe – Clint Barton/Darcy Lewis, James “Bucky” Barnes/Clint Barton/Darcy Lewis – So, see above notes on Clint. For Darcy, I love her as the sassy sidekick and scientist herder. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled she became a full-fledged scientist (Dr. Lewis) instead of an agent, but I love seeing her being the ‘everywoman’. For Bucky, I see him being very much the man recovering from trauma and dealing with another side of his personality. Solider, to me, is a part of his psyche who has basically been given a life of its own and now Bucky has to figure out how to work with and/or control it. It makes him more of a gray type character. (I also headcanon Solider as aro, even though Bucky is not.)
Prompts chosen – Darcy’s less naïve than Kate, she’s been around the block a time or two, but she’s still the civilian. So occasionally, she’ll get herself in trouble. However, there’s more of an equal balance here as she’s also had some experience in dealing with the crazy of heroes, geniuses, aliens, etc. Plus, her strengths are more mental/emotional while theirs are more physical.
Marvel Cinematic Universe – Darcy Lewis/Brock Rumlow, Darcy Lewis/Jack Rollins/Brock Rumlow – Okay, I’m a sucker for these ships! And yeah, I know two of them turned out to be HYDRA, but I’m good for them being triple agents. Or maybe it’s an AU and there’s some other way their paths crossed. Still, I love these two hardass, badass guys and this spunky, but still really kind of naïve woman.
Prompts chosen – I leaned a little darker on some of these because of the people in question and the situations they’d be likely to find themselves in. I even picked a couple in case you wanted to keep Rumlow and Rollins as HYDRA.
Arrow – Oliver Queen/Felicity Smoak – I love them as a couple. They are just so adorable, plus they really cover each other – strengths and weaknesses. The fact that Felicity makes her mark and earns her place on brain power while surrounded by all the physically kick ass characters made that show for me. And Oliver . . . I love the fact that he’s trying to do what’s right, and trying to be better than he was before the shipwreck.
Prompts chosen – For them, I went back to the protective Oliver and a little more sheltered Felicity. However, not quite as innocent as say Kate. After all, Felicity grew up in Las Vegas with a mother who worked as a cocktail waitress. She would have more of a knowledge of some of the darker aspects of human nature.
Stargate Atlantis – Ronon Dex/Jennifer Keller – I really wish these two had been endgame. Ah well. Thank goodness for fanfic. Anyway, I love the opposites attract for them – the guy who is the muscle, then occasionally comes out with these deep moments, and the woman who is brainy, but sometimes has that shot in the dark courage. They shouldn’t work, but the edges just come together.
Prompts chosen – I wanted to pick prompts for them that could play out on other worlds/cultures. Or give you a chance to explore those cultures.
I’m hoping I’ve given you some sparks for your creativity!
Thanks and have fun!
