KCF 2023

Dear KCF 2023 Creator,

Thank you so much for being part of this exchange! I’m looking forward to seeing what you create. Hopefully some of these sparks you and you have fun in the writing. Mix and match any of the likes you want, and my only hard lines are the DNWs. Have fun! . . . I’m so looking forward to what you come up with!

DNWs:
1st or 2nd person POV
Anti-religion/Religion bashing
Major character death – unless part of reincarnation or afterlife AU
Unhappy endings
Abortion
Breakup/cheating/infidelity fics
MPreg
RPF – Using the FBI, NYPD, etc. is fine, but please don’t use CNN, MSNBC, Fox, etc. and definitely no real people.
Current politics or political issues
Slurs/Name calling (Pet names are perfectly fine though)

General likes:
Deep characterization
Happy endings – or hopeful at the very least
Ratings: G, T, or M
Fluff
Domestic/slice of life
Found family
Hurt/comfort
Pregnancy/kids – except MPREG
Character bonding
World building
Power dynamics/imbalance
Possessiveness
Arranged marriage
Cuddling/aftercare

Darker likes:
Codependency
Kidnapping
Auction/War prize
Touch-starved characters
Sensory deprivation
Dub-con
Trauma exploration/recovery
Biting/Marking

Extra likes – Strong alpha men that are wrapped around the fingers of the women they love. Protective men and women with sass. Dark, edgy characters who use that to protect the innocent and light. And I’m into women who are kickass – especially if it’s NOT in the physical sense. Give me the geniuses, the wise women, the counselors, or the homemakers who know it is the heart of the house that pulls the strings.

I have a MAJOR competence kink.

Give me all the fantasy, supernatural, dark, urban magic stuff you’ve ever wanted to write! Or a Mafia AU because that’s always fun.

I’m not here for explicit anything – but for the character connections and relationships.

You don’t have to include this, but if it is up your alley, I really like multiple levels of relationships. While I don’t like breakup/cheating fics, I enjoy seeing various levels of relationships. So . . . characters A & B are in a strong romantic relationship, but when character B has a particularly tough day, they go cuddle with character C or characters A, B, & C are a closed triad, but character A has a strong platonic relationship with character D. Outsiders are sure they’re dating or having sex, but they’re not – and the other characters don’t have any jealousy. (And yes, they may even share a bed, but it’s purely for sleep, cuddling, comfort – not sex.) I enjoy romance, but I also truly enjoy explorations of all levels of love – romantic, platonic, familial, etc.

Marvel:

Clint and Kate are my newest obsessions so anything with them would be particularly wonderful. Clint is my all-time favorite Marvel character, and Kate’s a new favorite. I prefer Clint being the high level, efficient, damn good agent and not a disaster. Clint’s got this ‘do the job, collect the paycheck, go home’ vibe, but he also gives off an overprotective aura as well, and I’d like to see that play into your story. It works really well with Kate’s inexperienced, innocent ‘newbie’ vibe. Plus, I just love the potential for snark between Clint’s sarcasm and Kate’s sass. If it works for you, I’d love for you to include Clint’s hearing loss.

When it comes to Clint and Wanda, I usually get more of a familial feel for them, and I can see Wanda having this major crush on him while he’s treating it with respect. They had a lovely connection on screen. It would be nice to see more of them.

Natasha – I like her with Clint, Steve, or Bucky . . . and considering her background and her training – and her codename, there’s little doubt she’s been taught to seduce from a young age. What would it be like for her to be told no by one of these men? Or something along those lines? If you go with the pairing with both being underage, how do they connect?

Emelan:

Tris & Briar are my absolute favorites in this universe. I love how far they’ve come and how they learn to open their hearts to people. Tris is such a prickly character who still feels so deeply and gets so protective of her people while Briar wants to be callous, but can’t quite manage it with his people.

Little Red Riding Hood:

Wolf/Red - Okay, I picked this one because I’d love to see this in a more urban/modern fantasy kind of thing if that’s up your alley. Is he a werewolf? How do they cross paths?

Thank you! I hope this has helped and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
